As a founding member of “Nature & Progrès”, a pioneering organisation for the development and promotion of organic farming in France, le Puy became one of the first Bordeaux estates certified to produce organic wine. The domain also introduced a manual procedure to protect the bottle corks with a wax coating. This process, still in use today for all our bottles, extends the life of the cork while limiting exchanges of oxygen between the contents of the bottle and the outside air, thus preventing premature ageing of the wine.
