This non-filtered wine is produced from vines planted with 85% merlot, 7% cabernet sauvignon, 6% cabernet franc, 1% malbec and 1% carmenere. Emilien is obtained by a 2-year decantation in foudres and used barrels.
It has a garnet robe, tending towards ruby in young vintages, with orange hues for older vintages and onion peel for the very oldest.
A fruity nose with ripe red berry aromas, predominantly blackcurrant and redcurrant with burnt almond and occasionally mushroom and undergrowth. It boasts a round, full and delicate palate with velvety tannins and a long and pleasantly complex finish.
Emilien is a sophisticated wine that can be drunk young, thanks to its velvety tannins, or aged to discover the full depth of its terroir. It is a wine of great longevity.
Emilien is the perfect wine to accompany both family dishes and more sophisticated delicacies.

Over time and through generations, or with the evolution of the estate and official regulations, our labels may have changed. Older vintages can be found throughout the world with the labels "Château du Puy", "Château le Puy", "Château le Puy – Emilien", or "L’Ô du Puy". All these wines come from our estate and were produced using the same method. Like ‘"le Puy - Emilien", they reflect all our plots.
